Hey, Christian friends! I want to share with you a little something that God showed me through a Facebook picture of mine and a comment of a friend...

This past Friday after school, Dad called Mom and I out to the front yard so he could take some photos of us near the blossoming cherry tree. I decided to bring my camera and take some pictures as well, and I got a pretty decent shot of a cluster of cherry blossoms. I posted it, along with a few other shots, on Facebook and my friend Crissy was the first to comment. They were simple comments, the ones you usually only know to laugh, smile, and say thanks to. But then she wrote this:  "its kinda cool that the back grround is like blurry XD". That may seem simple too at first glance, but it made me realize she wasn't experienced with the camera's flower setting, so I began to explain: "Well that's what the flower setting (macro) does! It's an awesome look! Keeps your focus on the flower". Then I realized: "... it's like an example of what we should do in our lives with Jesus. Keep our focus on Him and let the background fade =) He will take care of us!" My great best friend Daniel, who had previously commented on this picture as well, agreed: "The best analogy for this ever. That's right =)".

I was surprised and grateful to God for showing me this analogy. It is a great illustration of something I have been struggling lately in my life: keeping my focus on Jesus. Like Peter ended up doing in Matthew 14:22-33 www.blueletterbible.org/Bible.…, I tend to focus on the waves of life (the hard things, or the things that need to be taken care of). It is VERY discouraging, believe me. @_@ But for the few moments I've been able to focus on my King Jesus, I've been free and at peace :)

Like with the macro setting, whenever the camera mistakenly focuses on the background and not the flower, I try again until the focus in the right place. That's what we should do when we find ourselves focused on things other than Jesus. It's not easy, but we have His awesome strength to help us do it. He's with us always, and He takes care of everything, so we have nothing to worry about. :) You're never alone.

So friends, keep your macro on Jesus! :) And everything else will fall into place, because He's taking care of you.

May I ask Daniel's last name, or at least the beginning letter of it, or the state he lives in?
